    Tips and Guidelines:

    1. Currently we are screening the first message that each member posts to the group. This is an effort to keep SPAM messages to a minimum. Please be aware that your first post may be delayed before it is sent out and be patient. Once you are approved to post, your future messages will go through without delay.
    2. Although this group is hosted through Google, you may register using any email address you already have, a gmail account is not needed.
    3. Many people have multiple email accounts. You may only post to this list with the account you registered with. Therefore, when sending messages from your email application, please make sure you are sending from the appropriate email account, otherwise you’ll get an error message.
    4. Instructions for unsubscribing from the list or modifying your subscription preferences are found at the bottom of every email that comes from the list.
    5. The volume on this list is currently fairly light, typically only a handful of emails a day. As this group becomes more popular, and we hope it will, that may change. If you find that you are receiving too many emails, don’t unsubscribe. Instead, consider setting up a rule in your mail application to filter all of these messages into one folder or signing up for the digest version which only sends out one email a day containing all of the days messages.
    6. This list is intended for Apple and technology related discussion only of interest to NFMUG members and guests. Please keep posts on topic. This s not the place for political discussion, advertisements, jokes, or other irrelevant material.
    7. Remember when posting or replying to a message you are sending your message to all the members of this group. Think before you post. Do not post anything that you would not want publicly distributed. If you’re posting the answer to a question or information that would be helpful to our membership, please post it to the list so we all may benefit. However if your message is directed to only one individual, please reply to them individually.
    8. Please reasonably limit yourself. We don’t want hamper the conversation or limit the number of posts on this group, but ask people use good judgment. Do not post the same question repeatedly and take the opportunity to read previous posts or search through the google web interface to see if your topic has already been discussed.
    9. Remember that this list is run by NFMUG members and is not affiliated with Apple. We will make every effort to monitor the list but cannot be responsible for the content that is posted. If you see an inappropriate post, please ignore it or report it indvidually to a NFMUG officer. Do not respond to the offending post.
